The Green Bay ladies were embarrassed and humiliated on Monday night any nobody is less surprised then me. After having a perfect 4 for 4 streak I tempted fate by touting the marginal choice of the inept Packers as a best bet. I did see that coming. Anyway, that knocks me down to a still enviable record of 14 and 4.

Five BEST BETS and a perfect situation for a two team, absolute, four star, break open the piggy bank, mortgage the house lock of the week. The Tennessee Titans on Thursday parlayed over to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
When you’re the best football handicapper on the planet it’s never too early to brag, especially when all the so-called professionals out there look like bumbling fools in comparison. And, there’s no need to lie or exaggerate my record since all my picks are chronicled here for all to see.
Today I’m a perfect 4 for 4. Perfect. Ran the table. Makes up for going 4 and 2 last week (a winning week, but not up to the superior standard I have now established). Overall, I’m now an incredible, untouchable, 14 winners against three losses. That’s the most enviable record in the world…82% winners. Most public/professional handicappers don’t even have the balls to lie about their picks being that good. And here’s the real kicker: for the big pussys out there I’m recommending one game a week. The absolute, four star, break open the piggy bank, mortgage the house lock of the week. My pick this week (go back and check) was the Buffalo Bills who absolutely crushed the Kansas City Chiefs 54 to 31 against a four-point line.
All that being properly said, I do pick the Green Bay Packers to cover Monday night though it doesn’t quite make it to my usually standard for a best bet, but being on a roll, and being this good, they are a sound play and I say take ‘em and I’m adding them to my picks. On Tuesday morning I’ll be 15 and 3.
The picks for this week are slim. The plays fall in to a BEST BET category or a no play status. Here are the lines and the choices:
PITTSBURGH STEELERS 11 Cincinnati Bengals
(PITTSBURGH STEELERS 17…. BEST BET)
CLEVELAND BROWNS 3 Houston Texans
(CLEVELAND BROWNS 3… no play)
Buffalo Bills 3 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
(Buffalo Bills 11 ½. …BEST BET)
TENNESSEE TITANS 5 New York Jets
(TENNESSEE TITANS 4… no play)
MIAMI DOLPHINS 1New England Patriots
(New England Patriots 1…no play)
DALLAS COWBOYS 10 San Francisco 49ers
(DALLAS COWBOYS 5 ½ …not a play)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9 DETROIT LIONS
(Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19 BEST BET)
BALTIMORE RAVENS 1 Philadelphia Eagles
(Philadelphia 4…no play)
Chicago Bears 9 ST LOUIS RAMS
(Chicago Bears 18… BEST BET)
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 2 Minnesota Vikings
(JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 1… no play)
ATLANTA FALCONS 1 Carolina Panthers
(Carolina Panthers 3… no play)
DENVER BRONCOS 10 Oakland Raiders
(DENVER BRONCOS 8 …no play)
Washington Redskins 3 SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
(Washington Redskins 6…no play)
New York Giants 3 ARIZONA CARDINALS
(New York Giants 6 … no play)
SAN DIEGO CHARGERS 3 Indianapolis Colts
(SAN DIEGO CHARGERS 2 ½ … no play)
Monday Night
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 2 Green Bay Packers
(Green Bay Packers 4…Play)
So, here’s the deal: the highlighted plays are all BEST BETS. The best of the best? Turns out to be the Buffalo Bills over the Kansas City Chiefs. Green Bay over the Saints doesn’t quite make it as a Best Bet but it’s pretty good since they’re the underdog. That’s five plays for this weekend with the Buffalo Bills being the Best Bet overall. Really, if you’re only going to pick one game this week, go with the Bills.
By popular demand the posts are here early this week. I changed the format a bit for my convenience. Sooner or later I’ll come up with something consistent. Here they are:
ATLANTA 5 Denver
(Atlanta 7…no play here)
MIAMI 10 Oakland
(Miami 12 ½…no play)
N.Y. GIANTS 6 Baltimore
(N.Y. Giants 4…no play)
INDIANAPOLIS 8 Houston
(Indianapolis 5…no play)
Tennessee 3 JACKSONVILLE
(Tennessee 11…A BEST BET)
GREEN BAY 0 Chicago
(Chicago 1…no play)
Philadelphia 9 CINCINNATI
(Philadelphia 20…A BEST BET)
New Orleans 4 KANSAS CITY
(New Orleans 11…A BEST BET)
CAROLINA 14 Detroit
(Carolina 20…playable, not a best)
TAMPA BAY 4 Minnesota
(Tampa Bay 5 ½ …not a bet)
SAN FRANCISCO pk ST Louis
(San Francisco 10…A BEST BET)
SEATTLE 0 Arizona
(Arizona 10…A BEST BET)
PITTSBURGH 4 San Diego
(Pittsburgh 3…No Play)
Dallas 2 WASHINGTON
(This game is a pick and no play)
Monday Night
BUFFALO 4 Cleveland
(Buffalo 2 no play)
Six plays, five of which are best bets, can’t ask for more then that. The one game I rate as playable but not a Best Bet would be under different circumstances but what the hell, let’s consider them all best bets. What’s a quarter parlay pay on six teams?
All three of the best bets won, and three out of the four recommended plays won.
3-0 on the Best Bets, and 3-1 on the recommended plays for an over all total of 6-1. Needless to say, I’ll be posting next week (most likely on Saturday).
This season may be a lot easier then I anticipated. I refrained from making picks and posts due to a personal lack of interest but after watching almost a half a season of very mediocre and uninspiring football I decided to take a shot. With no dominate teams in the league and very few that even fall in to the category of decent I feel pretty confident my ratings will be highly effective.
Here’s a capsule summery of how this works: The list below is the current spread as reported in “USA Today”. Home team is in capitals, the favorite is on the left. To the right of those two teams is the more accurate line with the favored team being the only one listed and a more accurate line. At the end is the differential, the difference between the betting line and the revised line. The bigger the differential, the better the bet. That number is in bold for the day's best bets.

Based on the numbers above, the three Best Bets for the day are the New York Jets, the Carolina Panthers and the Baltimore Ravens. For you action junkies, any team with a five or more point differential also makes a decent play.
